Computing
Our aim at Woodlea is to ensure the children develop the computing capacity to participate in a rapidly changing world, increasingly transformed by technology.
We enable them to find, explore, analyse, exchange and present information. Our focus is to support the children developing the capacity to apply and transfer these skills in an effective way.
We ensure that children know how to use the internet safely and can use their computing and IT skills to become confident, creative and independent learners.
We use the National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) scheme which has been specifically written for Primary Schools but links to the progression of learning that they will meet as they go through their secondary education.
